Variations sur le thème Marcel Proust by Computer Lars (4-10-1-8-11-13-5-3-7-6-2-9-12) (Asker Bryld Staunæs, Benjamin Asger Krog Møller og Marcel Proust).

This is a work that demands much of the viewer's time and attention, but which expands and reveals more and more, the deeper one moves down through its various parts. Based on the work of Marcel Proust and involving a wide range of different techniques (image generation with the machine learning model BigGANxCLIP, GPT-3 language model, etc.), the work examines what artificial intelligence signifies. But nothing is quite as it seems at first glance. Gradually, the work undermines itself in a self-reflexive way, creating surprising side avenues and offshoots. Marcel Proust is not what you might think: perhaps he is even a piece of code, perhaps an exchange of signs or perhaps a form of linguistic virus that questions intelligence, signs and language itself.
